Aquarius Zodiac Sign

Aquarius Horoscope: April 2019

In April 2019, the most active areas of life for you, Aquarius, will center around finances, siblings or close friends, and misfortune, enemies, or isolation. On April 2nd, Mercury will conjunct Neptune at 17 degrees Pisces for the third time this year. Because of March’s Mercury retrograde, you would have likely seen the beginning of this transit around February 19th, when Mercury conjoined Neptune for the first time. Then Mercury backtracked during its retrograde and had its second conjunction with Neptune on March 24th. April 2nd is the third pass of this Mercury/Neptune conjunction, so hopefully you’re wrapping up whatever this transit was about for you.

Mercury/Neptune contacts can involve lying, deception, as well as miscommunication or being misinformed. Here are some examples of how this could manifest in your 2nd house specifically:

  •  You could have a miscommunication surrounding finances or material possessions.
  •  Someone may be less than truthful with you about money.
  •  You may feel confused about how much to give and how much to keep.

The Moon and Venus are also present in Pisces at this time. Benefic Venus may help navigate any challenging Neptune stuff, and Jupiter is in a good position to do the same.

On April 5th, there’s a New Moon at 15 degrees Aries, and this most likely has to do with siblings, close friends, relatives, communication, mobility, early education, or your local environment. You may experience or want to initiate a new approach to one of these areas, which could pay off six months later at the Full Moon in Aries. You may not notice anything in particular happening because this is the time when the seeds are planted, and you’ll only see what they grow into later on.

April 10th is one of the most important days of the month, with more transits than any other. Saturn in Capricorn squares the Sun in Aries at 20 degrees. This is a challenging aspect; Saturn has the upper hand in this configuration, and it’s spending the better part of three years in your zone of suffering and mental stress. Here are some ways the Sun-Saturn square could manifest for you:

  •  Your schoolwork or something happening at your school could be taking a toll on your mental health. You may run into obstacles completing a class or assignment.
  •  You could have an enemy or rival at school or in your everyday environment constraining or restricting you.
  •  You may feel isolated locally.
  •  Your sibling, close friend, or relative could experience misfortune, or you could experience misfortune involving them.
  •  For one or two of you more rebellious folks, you could get suspended or expelled from school, or feel exiled from a place you frequent in your town, perhaps because someone without your best interests at heart is also spending time there.
  •  You may find it difficult to communicate with a sibling, close friend, or relative right now.
  •  Mobility may be restrained in some way, whether due to a bodily ailment or rough commute.
  •  This is the opening square in the Sun-Saturn cycle, whereas the Sun/Saturn conjunction happened on January 1st of this year. How have things developed since then?

Saturn is also within three degrees of Pluto here, so it could be more ramped up than usual, and both Saturn and the Sun are in very strong positions.

On the same day, Venus conjoins Neptune at 17 degrees Pisces in your money zone. You may feel more optimistic about finances, perhaps overly so. You may encounter something that could help contribute to your livelihood.

But April 10th isn’t over yet. Jupiter stations retrograde at 24 degrees Sagittarius on the same day. Outer planet retrogrades don’t typically signify any great changes; the main time they’re important is when the planet is stationing retrograde or stationing direct. Jupiter-related topics may become slightly more prominent during the week of April 10th, and it’s in your 11th house of friends, groups, alliances, goals, and prosperity. Jupiter will be in Sagittarius until late 2019. During this time, you may begin to align with people who can help you in your pursuit of abundance and fulfillment. You may rethink how to make this happen and how to proceed with your plans while Jupiter stations retrograde.

Mercury in Pisces sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 23 degrees on April 10th, which is a nice aspect for investigative research in general. You may be researching a way of making a living that doesn’t also cause suffering.

It’s important to remember that not all of these transits will manifest if the planets are not activated as Time Lords right now. Using the annual or monthly profections technique, you can determine which planets are currently turned on in your personal chart, and pay the most attention to them and the houses and signs they rule. Also, you may experience the symbolism of an aspect within a few days to a week before or after the aspect itself, as it’s building up or waning during those times. The third thing to keep in mind is that all of the aspects in the sky interact with your personal birth chart, so there’s an unknown factor that a general horoscope can’t comment on. For that, you’d need an individual consultation to see which transits connect to your birth chart and which will probably pass you by. You’ll likely notice a decent amount of your horoscope occurring, but not everything will happen to you specifically for that reason.

On April 11th or April 12th, depending on your time zone, Jupiter in Sagittarius squares Mercury in Pisces at 24 degrees. The other benefic, Venus, is still co-present with Mercury in Pisces, so on the whole, this should increase positive feelings, even if whatever you’re taking on is a new challenge. This is also the third in a series of Mercury-Jupiter squares: look back to what you were doing around February 22nd, 2019, as well as March 15th. It should be wrapping up, culminating, or presenting an outcome around this time. Potential manifestations for this transit include:

  •  Giving financial support to your friends, or receiving financial support from your friends. The same applies to organizations.
  •  Making a trade that you’ll use your skills or resources to help a friend, if they do the same for you. You may both teach each other something new.
  •  Putting money towards your long-term goals.

On April 13th, Pluto in Capricorn squares the Sun in Aries at 23 degrees. Some lingering emotions from the Sun-Saturn square on the 10th may arise again. You could be feeling frustrated, especially if power plays are occurring between you and a nemesis, sibling, relative, or close friend. The Pluto-Sun square is only likely to be an issue if the Sun, Mars, or Saturn is turned on as a Time Lord.

On April 14th, Jupiter in Sagittarius trines the Sun in Aries at 24 degrees. This is one of my two favorite aspects of the month. The Sun is exalted in Aries; it feels very provided for. Meanwhile, Jupiter is in one of its home signs, Sagittarius, so it has access to all the resources it needs to lend support to ventures involving friends or siblings. If you’re one of those people who has the Sun-Saturn and Sun-Pluto square activated in your chart right now, this transit may provide you with renewed support. Siblings could join a group you’re part of, or a friend you only knew within the context of a group could start to become a closer friend. A school group or one that involves learning of some kind could have a positive impact on you.

My other favorite aspect of the month occurs a day later, on April 15th, when Jupiter in Sagittarius squares Venus in Pisces at 24 degrees. If Venus or Jupiter is a Time Lord for you this year, you’re in luck. This highlights the same areas of life as the Jupiter-Mercury square, and a connection between the two benefic planets can bring positive things in. This continues to emphasize things like prosperity through friends and groups.

On April 17th, Mercury ingresses into Aries, your 3rd house of communication, neighborhood, learning, and relatives. Mercury can be a bit brash or tactless in Aries, so choose your words carefully, especially when conversing with your siblings or close friends, or you may find yourself getting into a debate. Mercury is a speedy planet to begin with, and in Aries, the pace ramps up even more. You may learn quickly but perhaps not as thoroughly at this time.

The Full Moon in Libra at 29 degrees takes place on April 19th in your zone of travel, foreign things, higher education, and spirituality or belief systems. You may experience a culmination that began about six months earlier, during a New Moon in Libra around October of 2018. Has your outlook and perspective changed since then?

On April 20th, the Sun ingresses into Taurus and Venus ingresses into Aries. Benefic Venus indicates the chance to smooth over any lingering issues with siblings, communication, school, or friends who are like family, topics that have been a huge focus for Aquarians this month. If you were born at night, the effect will likely be stronger. Meanwhile, the Sun takes on a slower attitude in the sign of Taurus, which has a very different feel from the go-getter pace of Aries. The Sun is no longer in a sign-based square with bad news bears Saturn and Pluto, and it’s now highlighting your 4th house of home and parents.

On April 22nd, the Sun conjoins Uranus at 2 degrees Taurus, indicating that something new, unusual, exciting, radical, chaotic, disruptive, or unexpected may occur in one of the above areas. Here are some potential manifestations:

  •  A new element may revise the relationship you have with your parents or family.
  •  Someone new may become part of your living environment.
  •  You could relocate, remodel, or redecorate your home.
  •  You could purchase or rent a piece of property, whether it’s land, an office, or a place to live.

Remember that Uranus will be in Taurus for the next seven years, and this is one of the first conjunctions it experiences since ingressing into Taurus, so whatever happens when the Sun conjoins it may indicate the bigger picture and what you are headed towards in the next seven years or so.

On April 24th, Pluto stations retrograde at 23 Capricorn, within three degrees of Saturn. This transit will only affect you if Pluto’s activating something in your birth chart, or if Saturn, which rules Capricorn, is a Time Lord for you. It’s more common to see Pluto stations play out in larger society than on an individual level. For what it’s worth, this is occurring in a zone that deals with more difficult topics, so it may be a bit harder for you, Aquarius Rising, than other zodiac signs. This could bring up issues of obsession, power, control, or jealousy.

We close out the month with a nasty little aspect, Neptune in Pisces squaring Mars in Gemini on April 27th. With Pisces known for not always being clear, and Gemini potentially having a touch of duplicitousness, especially with a malefic present, it only emphasizes Mars and Neptune’s natural significations. Hard aspects between Mars and Neptune have not been pleasant in my experience; they can indicate things like lying, deception and disillusionment. It can also feel like you’re trying to run a mile underwater and getting nowhere.

For years, Neptune has been visiting your 2nd house of finances, possessions, and livelihood. Meanwhile, Mars is visiting your 5th house of children, hobbies, creativity, sex, and dating. This transit is likely to be rougher on those of you who were born during the day. Potential manifestations include:

  •  Children or dating could drain some of your income or savings.
  •  You could be dating someone who doesn’t currently have a viable livelihood.
  •  You may not have enough money to pursue your hobbies or creative projects, or may be spending so much time making money that there’s none left for everyday pleasures.
  •  Your children may spend some of your money or borrow a possession of yours when they weren’t authorized to.
  •  Older or adult children may not be transparent about their money situation.

Jupiter is in a superior position to both Neptune and Mars, so hopefully that’s enough of a mitigating factor to smooth things over.

Finally, on April 29th, Saturn stations retrograde at 21 degrees Capricorn, within three degrees of Pluto. Around the week of the station, you may experience the same types of emotions that were brought up around April 24th, when Pluto stationed retrograde. Definitely take some downtime to relax, comfort, and pamper yourself, in order to counteract the strong Saturn/Pluto significations this week.

Final words of advice: Don’t let combativeness get in the way of strategy when it comes to dealing with difficult people. Do rely on the support of your trusted friends in whatever way it comes, and keep the prosperity flowing while setting appropriate boundaries to make sure you’re not taken advantage of.
