Welcome to Midnight Moon Astrology! I’m Cassidy Juniper, and I run an astrology practice in the Chicago area. My foundation is Hellenistic astrology or traditional astrology, with select modern techniques woven in. My astrological education includes Chris Brennan’s Hellenistic astrology course, for which I received a certificate of completion after passing the final exam, plus Kelly Surtees’ group mentoring, and a year-long Horary course through Acyuta-bhava Dasa of Nightlight Astrology. I’ve also taken a variety of local workshops and online webinars over the years, and attended some wonderful astrology conferences, such as UAC (United Astrology Conference), NORWAC (Northwest Astrological Conference), and GLAC (Great Lakes Astrology Conference). It wasn’t long before I became immersed in the world of astrology, listening to countless podcasts and reading many books on the topic. Currently, I’m enrolled in Chris Brennan’s Professional Astrologer course as I embark on the unpredictable journey of starting my own business. I’m a member of the Association for Young Astrologers and ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research).
Emotional intelligence, true acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach augment my astrology consultations. Working with clients to help them live an authentic, fulfilling life is a privilege, and being entrusted with their concerns means I place an emphasis on creating a safe space, where a client can share as much or as little as they’re comfortable discussing. Being seen, heard, and understood does not always happen enough in everyday life, and consultations can provide answers, insights on making decisions, and an enriched perspective on your inner self as well as other people and areas of your life.
I’m a compassionate and empathetic Cancer Rising, with a diplomatic Libra Sun that seeks balance and aims to counter injustice. My Gemini Moon in the 12th house (ruled by Mercury in Virgo) indicates the role that introspective writing plays in my life, whether through my astrology business, journaling, or writing fiction. I like reading about Jungian techniques, archetypes, psychology, the brain, relationships, philosophy, history, and mythology. In addition to my astrological studies, I completed a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. My friends span a wide age range, from those in their twenties to those in their seventies, so I’m comfortable working with people from a variety of generations.
In my spare time, I create podcasts, travel to different parts of the world, keep up with all things Harry Potter, and pursue other generally nerdy interests. I’ve enjoyed movies and TV shows like The Magicians, How I Met Your Mother, Marvel movies, Firefly, Anne of Green Gables, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, American Dreams, and Mad Men.
